In my eyes, the perfect wedding dress by one of the world's most exclusive wedding dress designers! Sexy without being overdone, timeless, classy and unique. I have lost count of the number of people that came up to me during my wedding day (and who messaged me after the fact after seeing photos on social media), telling me that this was the most beautiful wedding dress they had ever seen.
I was initially concerned that the V-neck would only look good on a small-busted body type, but I'm a 34C and the dress was beyond flattering. The dress is purposefully constructed to flatter every part of the body. One of my favorite parts about the dress - and one of the features guests took notice of the most - is the immaculate lace detailing and hand-sewn flower appliques. All of the lace and beads were sewn on by hand and is unique from other Berta dresses in that it emphasizes the elegant and classic lace, over the beading. Having said that, the dress still has that signature Berta "shimmer". I love watching the way the dress shines and sparkles in my first dance video. The dress also has a long, gorgeous cathedral length train, which was already bustled during alterations.
DETAILS
My wedding gown is from the most recent Berta 2018 collection (Style 18-14). The Berta size ordered was "Size 38" (European sizing).
CONDITION
In terms of condition, I purchased the dress brand new last year in September 2017 and wore it only once for my wedding on October 26, 2018. The dress is still in great condition and was professionally dry cleaned after my wedding day.
PRICE
I paid $8,160 retail for the dress. This does NOT reflect the additional $695 I paid in alterations. The price represents a 35% discount to retail which is more than fair to take into account any minimal wear and tear there may be. The dress has only been worn once (8 hours total).
